Suffering from short term or ongoing back or neck pain?
Back rehabilitation devices, overseen by a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist, can help to relieve the pain.
Available at Singleton
The devices are able to isolate the deeper layer muscles of the body which can be difficult to target with general exercise alone, and provide them with progressive resistance. Over time, these deeper muscles become stronger, and the pain is reduced.
Using the devices involves low impact movement, and they are non invasive. Specific movements are plotted on a screen which guides you on the pace of each movement.
Based on your initially assessed pain and strength levels, and the opinion of the treating physiotherapist or exercise physiologist, a customised program is determined.
Your strength levels are automatically tracked along the precise points of the back, and you can see an on screen visual chart showing your progress over time. The strength level of your muscles is measured at each individual session.
Depending on your level of pain and strength of muscles, a program of sessions lasting between 6 – 12 weeks is generally recommended. Sessions are done twice per week, fully clothed, and last approx 30 minutes each.
After each session you can see a visual representation of your strength levels across different muscle points, and monitor changes to pain and strength levels over time.
